::Betfair Asian Poker Tour::
well, didnt do as well as expected. i was too nervous at the main event. Flop nut st8, but didnt even follow up bet at flop. and eventually overbetting the pot, making him fold. damn it. thts jus one of the many mistakes i made.
oh well, overall, its a good experience. now i know what to expect for my tournaments. gotta bluff more especially with hugh stacks. must have the courage to bluff, all the way till the river. even if its putting your tournament chances on the line. thts how you double up.
thats gonna be my strategy for the next live tourney. perhaps aussie millions or maybe when betfair return to singapore next year.
i did came out 5k usd richer though when i won the first event. also, the 1 week stay at meriden hotel was good. fantastic. didnt really enjoy the hotel facilities as i was too busy with the poker tournament.
made some really good frens. with the swedes. they are really nice people. its funny, when you are one of the "best" in singapore, but when it comes to the international event, i am jus nobody. lol. ;) i'm cool with tht.heh
i felt lost when the whole thing ended. the past 2 weeks, its all a memory now. it was fantastic times. it was all abt poker, the poeple you meet, is your kind and its nice. now, its gonna be somewhat, the mundane life again. urghhh.. boringgggg!

jus yesterday, after the 1 week stay at meriden, i realise how nice it is to actually stay in town! and also have a really nice room/house. i've decieded to get one in orchard road. my dad doesnt object it. say the cost is 1.4M. installment comes out to about 5-6K a month, but since it would be shared between me and my brother, then its all cool. 3K each. well, each month, i spend so much tht i think, the money could be put to better use such as this.
and if the consultancy for www.theasiapoker.com goes well, i could made addition few K per month. and also my multi finance company, its raking in a few K for me. and if my birdnestshop.com when it goes live and does well, oh well.. it'd be great. at least i have a few things to look forward to now. thts my business.
pokerwise, i dont have the urgency to improve myself to move up the limits. i'm comfortable with where i am today. jus need to get my business going. thts the most important thing now. and of course, scout for an apartment in town tht i like.

joined 2 events since the start of asia poker tour. the 400 usd and 300 usd buy in for satellite to main event and FL tourney respectively.
Reach the top 12 which gives the same payout as the first for the first event. since i won a seat already, i kept the cash worth 5K usd. www.betfairasianpokertour.com to see my name. its "audrey" wijaya though.. haha
and yesterday, made it to 12th for the FL tourney. only top 10 gets paid.. so basically, nothing much abt there.

in a nutshell, i lost 57K sgd past 5 days. this is certainly my lowest point in my career. although, i am still up like 13K sgd for this month.. the past 5 days, its getting me glutted... i dont think its a bad run. its more of bad plays. gotta check where i am going wrong. this is so screwed up.
on the brighter note. well, jus finish my filming with betfair. firstly, they came my house for an interview. i must say, i think i screwed up the interview so badly.. was mumbling and dont know what i was talking.. damn.... hopefully it will not turn out tht bad. maybe i will request another interview during the asia poker tour. therafter, we went to zouk, and yeah. its pretty cool. got to be filmed inside zouk itself. its a pretty big thing i guess. cause i cant really rmemeber the last time zouk was being filmed. this documentary is pretty interesting.. it would be shown internationally, ESPN, london channel 4 and also discovery channel. all of it.. so yeah....
gonna do an interview with the straits time too.. or so it seems. thts what i heard from betfair. gotta wait for the call. this time i aint gonna screw up the interview.
and yes, hopefully, i will be able to get my velvet membership this time round.

i'm such a big fan of cassie. obviously it has to do with her gorgeous outlook and good music. but, i've jus read her blog www.lovecassie.com and it gives me a vibe tht she's a very humble person. u can jus read how she was nothing to something. not exactly nothing, but lets jus say, the start of her journey to stardom. it sort of inspires. and comparing myself to her, i'm still nobody, but yet she's more humble than me in terms of my blog content.
the word "superstars". how are they born? jus like that. do what you do best, and with luck, you'll reach the top and be recognised. i know i've said this before, but i'm gonna repeat this again. this is the moment, the defining moment of my life.
been visualising myself winning the asia poker tour. i know many people out there are laughing at me when i jus made tht statement. but, its ok, i dream big. the odds of winning are so slim. but u know what i think, if phil ivey can win his first tournament at 22 or was it 23, why cant i? i mean, i dont suck tht bad. i do crush the game at 35-70 and tht is considered somewhat high limits. of course the tournament format is different, but then again, i have won quite a few tournaments before. i've improved my tournament play, i'm much better than when i qualified for the danish european poker tour, but decided to remain in singapore instead.
more importantly, everything, is going so well in poker. everything. i hit 100K for this month, which is definetly absurd amt to make in a month even in poker terms, therfore proving tht i can make the grade. had a rush of 37k sgd for the past week. last week or rather 4 days ago, i won the betfair satellite to the main event, enabling me to get the whole package worth 8K usd to enjoy. and i'm gonna be working with betfair to do a documentary to be shown internationally. it would be safe to say i am the top 5 poker player in singapore too. these are the little things, tht somewhat makes me confident abt my chances in the asia poker tour. Cause everything in poker is going so well. The asia poker tour would be my biggest test.
it reminds me of my younger days. i used to play magic the gathering for leisure and would go to play a small tournament at serene center every friday with the first prize of 50 sgd. and i would win it on a frequent basis against the older players.i was one of the better players when i was young. in fact, a very promising player. and one day, i remmeber, there was this "mirage" tournament, and it cost like 40 sgd to enter. it was hell alot of money tht time for me. i asked my fren to join me, but he didnt want. i did although i didnt fancy my chances. it was more of a fun thing. and guess what, when i went to the tournament, i crushed all my opposition. i didnt know i was tht good. when i reach the knockout stages, they have this rating. like your chances of winning. my rating was 94% and the 2nd ranking guy was 70+%. i lost eventually coming in with 2nd prize. best out of 5 rounds for the finals. lead 2-0 before losing the 2-3. to think abt it, i still remmeber, the day, people was talking abt this indonesian, the indonesian tht's crushing the game and no one ever seen him at any "major" tournament. i love the moments. i want to smell it again.
Will i be the same indonesian to make the crowd talk abt in time to come? except that its a man game now, poker. we'll know 3 weeks from now.
