didnt do mcuh except clubbing. club like 8 times within a period of 2 weeks prior to this week. it was really hardcore and i was really a little bit sick of the clubbing. went to MOS, it was pretty cool. but didnt like the r and b over there. the "cage" thingy really kinda sucks. and its fucking squeezy. went to artica for the first time too. that place rocks. much better than zouk. but the drinks, its more expensive then usual. i didnt ordered much as had some drinks earlier on at clark quay. on bottle of beer cost me 14.4SGD. it 40% more expensive than the other club. maybe its only the beer? i am not sure. :)
was at the vip area at artica, and to my surprise, you cannot order any bottle/glass/jug over at the vip area. you can only open bottles of martini/vodka/etc etc. .. tht seems to be total bullshit. although i totally understand what the club is trying to do: mantaining its exclusivness.

poker is really bad this month. its the worst ever for the past 6-7 months. i am up say 1500 sgd for this month? yeah balls. its that bad. thankfully i had my "side" business earning me quite bit. managed to save a total of 3000SGd for this month. so its not tht bad, although, its really not up to my standard.
perhaps holiday period has affected me quite abit, and also i think i had a burnout of playing poker every other day for the past six months(except when i went thailand for holiday). decided not to play any more this month except freerolls. i want to make sure tht i will still save a certain amt of money every month man! if i lose this 3K tht i am suppose to save, i will feel sad. very sad: 3 K is already bad enough, any lower, i cant take it. i rather wait till next month, and then i'll start playing again.
jus got kicked out of a touronment. had Ad 6d, chips of 13,000 in front of me. blinds was 300-600. i raised late position to 2500, attempting to steal the blinds. BB called. flop comes 10 6 2(flush draw for me), he checked, i all in my 10000 chips, wanted to semi fake. he called, with his pocket 6s. i was out. didnt hit flush. it sucks. i felt i played really well for the whole touronmnet. although there was 1 bad play.

those people who knows me, knows i am kinda ambitious. but these days somethings alittle off . losing the desire to make it in life. starting to think, whats so important with money? i mean, come to think about it, its ridiculous tht we all work so hard to strive for the luxurious things when all that we need actually is jus simple basic necessity like food, shelter. nothing more fanciful.
zoukout was good. but i slept almost like all of zouk out? had a mini party before going into zouk.out and it was good man. i got drunk at the mini party and by the time i reached zoukout.. haha, i slept on the sands. couldnt take it... puked and all tht.... so yeah. slept almost all the way at the zoukout party except the last part where i joined my fren's fren group but was left out as i dont know where hte fuck my frens were(actually they left me there cause i wanted to sleep somemore..haha), but its cool. i was too high to feel lonely. ;)... left around 4 plus 5.

this month, roller coaster ride. cant repeat my last month's feat. got butchered at the 10-20 table. lost 4.5K sgd in 2 days over there. back to my 5-10 here. still down 500 sgd for the month and today is the 12th. dont think i can hit 10K for this month, but i htink 7000--8000 is achievable. i have strong belief in myself. :)
on the brighter note, this month, my side business has been prospering. total loan out money reached 20050 sgd. yeah, this month, i have loaned out an additional 5000-6000 dollars and its all good. in fact, i have recently been proposed a partnership for this section of my business. so we'll see how things go.

well, what happened was tht recenltly i have been taking shots at the 10-20 games.(i made a resolution to try out the 10-20 games only when the new year comes), but it seems tht somehow, i itchy finger and started playing 10-20.
had quite abit of success at the 10-20 tables. in fact, was up 3.3 sgd in 6 days of playing poker. then today, i decided to go back to 5-10... and i got fucked big big time. in a space of total table time of 2 hours, i lost 700 usd on the 5-10 tables. one must understand that playing on the 5-10 and 10-20 there is a difference of stake of 2 times. and the amount we are talking at 10-20 can easily reach 200-400 usd per pot!. whereas for 5-10 its much smaller, 100-200 if its hugh pot. so what happen was when i went back to play at 5-10, the money seems small. the pot was nothing to me. and because of that, i became complacent. and began playing way too loose.. and thts how i lost my 700usd in jus 2 hours. i went on a major tilt. and then i moved up to 15-30 and played one table poker. won back quite alot there, like 400 usd. at one point i was down 1100 usd, but manage to fight back to -550$ usd now.
from what happened today, i think, i will not be playing the 5-10 tables anymore. its too small to make me feel excited over it and play proper poker. its like the insatistable hunger. you jus have to move higher and higher.
maybe this thing i am suffering is only temporary and i will move back to 5-10. but hell with it, 10-20 is fine, as long as i am winning there, i aint need to worry about 5-10! wait until i lose at 10-20, then i'll come down, for now, i shall enjoy my ride there and play better poker.

the answer is yes. since i have started playing poker, i have read numerous of book. prior to that, i never bought any books from borders before, but now, its one of the place tht i frequent for knowlegde. i have always thought that betting soccer is a losing proposition due to my experience and from everyone that i know, they dont win.
there is no strict formulae to a "sure" win theory. but there are ways which definetly helps when you bet. this i have discovered through playing poker, it will be helpful for those who does soccer betting and it seems that all the "gambling" books i read points out to one simple basic theory. that is making value bets, not winning bets. you can win 20 out of 30 bets, but what good is it if everyone of them is paying out at a average rate of 1.25? you still lose money even though you have many winners!
e.g: if you were to throw a coin , and i give you the payout of 1 pay 1.9.. in the long run you will lose(every one knows that). but you choose to play anyway, and you choose to play 5 times, and you won all of it. the question now is whether you actually win from betting this? the answer is actually no. because it doesnt matter whether you win or lose now, what matters is that the decision you make, every time you play that hand, you are losing 5 cents in payout(1.9 divide by 2 is 95 cents; actual value is $1.00 for an evens game).so you are actually losing money.
what has this got to do with soccer you might ask. very simple, with the introduction of many betting exchanges suchs as betfair.com, betonbet.com.. now, bookies doesnt have much commission as its betting between 2 people for the betting exchange market thus the tax is really low between players( bookies used to charge like 20% average in tax!, and for this theory to work, you must play on a betting exchange to be able to gain the most out of this theory). you see, some bets, are not sure win,but its definetly a value bet. what you need to bet, is value bet and you will be alright. what is a value bet? You decide what is the frequency of a chance happening, say if you rate it in 3 to 1, but you are getting odds of 5 to 1, jus bet it. in the long run, you MUST win money.
its really not tht hard. today, i made quite abit from my value bets. of course, most of the time, you lose, but once you hit your value bets, you win alot back, plus profit. not surprising, i always bet those with high odds. although there are times when a sure win match is a good bet even though the odds is very low.
e.g. blackburn VS everton. for everton to win, the payout is 4.7. blackburn jus lost the previous game(not on good form) and everton is having some of their previous year's league form back. putting the factors togther(there are actually more reasons) do you think that out of 4.7 matches that is to be played, everton will not win even one match away? i would say you are a fool to disagree. thus it will be a good bet to bet everton to win. of course draw has a good chance of happening( i would rate them as equal chances), but for a payout of draw at 3.5 as compare to everton to win at 4.7, its better to take everton to win.
you must know how to bet smartly too, of course it is true to say that e.g. Chel Vs Sunder, and SUN to win is 23 dollars. is it worth it to bet them cause out of 23 matches, sunderland is bound to win one match thus making it a value bet. i will agree with my statement that it MIGHT still be a value bet, but looking at their form and chel's form, even at 23 odds, its not very tempting. so your judement must come into play.

you know how the professional gamblers say things like they like to gamble for a living because they like to gamble. - at least thats what mason malmuth said. but i somewhat disagree. because, the more i am expose to these "gamblings", although the luck factor is always there for each game tht i play, the thing is, its actually not gambling! it doesnt feel like a gamble anymore simply because if you know how to bet, you will win, or rather you MUST win in the long run. and if you must win, i dont think its called gambling anymore? ;)
some of those who knows me will know tht i dont really enjoy playing poker at the higher stakes. its risky. but its risky, not because its like gambling, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose due to the outcome of the cards jus like roulette, but its more like, i am afraid of a player better than me on the table and he outplaying me!(as i mentioned before, i do not think i am not even near the top). that is the only reason why i am afraid to play the 10-20 tables for now. not because of the short term luck factor in poker. many people jus dont understand, poker has too much skill involved that luck plays only a small part in it.
